TFC Academy Overview
The TFC Academy offers a comprehensive soccer development program designed to nurture young talent and foster a love for the beautiful game. Our curriculum focuses on fundamental skill development, tactical understanding, and sportsmanship, all within a fun and supportive environment.
TFC Academy Information
The Tupelo Futbol Club (TFC) Academy program for players aged 5-8 focuses on foundational development, fostering a love for soccer, and building essential life skills. Key aspects include:
  1. Skill Development: Emphasis on Football Actions like dribbling, passing, and ball control.
  2. Fun and Engagement: Age-appropriate activities to keep young players excited about the game.
  3. Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Encouraging cooperation, respect, and fair play.
  4. Physical Activity: Promoting fitness, coordination, and motor skills through soccer.
  5. Positive Environment: Academy coaches create a supportive atmosphere to nurture competence and growth.
Age Group Cut-Offs (based on birth year for the 2025-2026 season):
  • U8 : For players born between September 1, 2017, and August 31, 2019.
  • U6 : For players born between September 1, 2019, and December 31, 2021
Costs and Inclusions:
  • U8 (ages 7-8): $550 per year. This includes Dedicated Academy Coaching, weekly training sessions, league fees, and participation in local games or festivals. Uniforms are not included in this payment; a uniform package must be purchased separately through soccer.com once registered.
  • U6 (ages 5-6): $450 per year. This covers Dedicated Academy Coaching , weekly training sessions, and participation in small-sided games or fun soccer events. Uniforms are not included in this payment; a uniform package must be purchased separately through soccer.com once registered.

Program Schedule:
The TFC Academy operates two distinct seasons throughout the year:
Fall Season:
  • Dates:  August 4th – November 10th
  • Day: Mondays
  • Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Spring Season:
  • Dates: February 2nd – May 4th
  • Day: Mondays
  • Time: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM

The TFC Academy offers a comprehensive soccer development program designed to nurture young talent and foster a love for the beautiful game. Our curriculum focuses on fundamental skill development, tactical understanding, and sportsmanship, all within a fun and supportive environment.

Nature of Program

The TFC Academy Program is designed to introduce your child to the game of Soccer and develop their understanding of the game in a structured environment.

Our TFC Staff will run each training session and arrange fun activities that focus on increasing the players interactions within the game. Working to improve  fundamentals of the game such as ball mastery, receiving the ball, passing the ball, and striking the ball & the Decision making involved to utilize these skills.

Most importantly, we want to develop a love for the game to drive players to have the desire to train and get better. Players eligible for the this program are boys and girls between the ages of 6 to 8. The TFC Academy is supplementary to rec soccer and not meant to take the place of it.
