TFC Academy (U6-U8)

Overview

On Monday Nights at Ballard Park, we offer a U6 and U8 Academy Program! This program is led by our Academy Director Kieran Pettigrew. Kieran is from Port Glasgow, Scotland and was a part of St. Mirren FC’s youth academy before coming to the US to play at the University of West Alabama.

The TFC Academy players will train every Monday night from early August to Thanksgiving and mid January to early May. The Academy program aims to provide further playing opportunities for like minded players that want to play more soccer. As well as practices on Monday evening the program aims to provide at least 4 weekend playing opportunities at our local tournament events.

The cost will be U6 $450 & U8 $550( For the Full season) and registration starts July 1st.

Nature of Program

The TFC Academy Program is designed to introduce your child to the game of Soccer and develop their understanding of the game in a structured environment.

Our TFC Staff will run each training session and arrange fun activities that focus on increasing the players interactions within the game. Working to improve fundamentals of the game such as ball mastery, receiving the ball, passing the ball, and striking the ball & the Decision making involved to utilize these skills.

Most importantly, we want to develop a love for the game to drive players to have the desire to train and get better. Players eligible for the this program are boys and girls born between 2019 and 2016. The TFC Academy is supplementary to rec soccer and not meant to take the place of it.
